July 19th Posted by Bearalzebub Monday, 2010-July-19 Comic update for July 19th is up.
On a side note, The devilbear site is now being hosted by a different provider. It should stop the error messages that were occurring lately. The old host kept migrating the site like every two weeks, which seemed odd and it must have been to increasingly crappier machines. When I complained about it, they suggested I upgrade to a $300 a month plan. Yeeeaaa, See them in Hell. ;) July 12 Posted by Bearalzebub Monday, 2010-July-12 Aaaaaand we're back: with the beginning of issue #4. Issues 1 and 2 (pages 1-50) have also gotten a much needed color depth boost just in time for the 1 year anniversary of this site. Pretty excited about that. Hopefully, the first of many years to come. June 14th - Issue 3 ends and productive sabbatical begins Posted by Bearalzebub Monday, 2010-June-14 And so issue 3 ends on a slightly suspenseful note. The comic is taking a productive sabbatical before posting issue 4 (page 76, 77, etc). After careful consideration, the script for issue 4 needs some tender loving care before going forward.
It is necessary for the quality and longevity of the comic.
Additionally, you have probably noticed that issue 3 (page 51-75) had a bit more depth and lighting than the previous 2 issues. This was largely due to the encouragement of a colleague of mine and the effort has obviously brought a lot to the comic. Thus, the second goal of the sabbatical is to update the depth of the first 50 pages. It just doesn’t seem to get done while making the new ones at the same time. Thedevilbear.com first got up and running on July 14th of 2009. I can’t think of a better birthday present for the comic than giving it some enhancements. So don’t worry about Devilbear disappearing or anything like that. When we come back on July 12th it will be better and stronger than ever. As always, Thanks for reading! Previous page | Next page
